Examplify (ExamSoft) AI Assistant & Bypass Searches in 2026: ExamID, ExamMonitor & macOS Setup
Nursing, medical, law, and pharmacy programs widely use ExamSoft’s Examplify desktop client. Unlike browser-based quizzes in Canvas or Blackboard, Examplify downloads encrypted assessment files locally and locks down the operating system during the exam session.
How Examplify differs from LockDown Browser and Honorlock
Respondus LockDown Browser wraps a live web LMS session, and Honorlock runs inside Chrome. Examplify is an offline-capable native application that can disconnect network interfaces during non-networked exams or run alongside ExamID and ExamMonitor.
Because Examplify controls the desktop session directly, browser extensions and web-tab quiz solvers cannot run while an Examplify assessment is active.
- Examplify: local desktop lockdown client used by nursing, law, and medical schools
- ExamID: automated facial verification prior to starting the assessment
- ExamMonitor: continuous webcam and audio recording for post-exam review
NoLock’s macOS workflow for Examplify
NoLock lists ExamSoft Examplify in its macOS compatibility catalog under the All Proctors plan or higher.
Complete the NoLock macOS setup and sign in before launching Examplify so the native desktop overlay and screenshot chat workflow are initialized prior to entering the secured session.
Testing with Examplify practice downloads
Most institutions publish an ungraded mock exam inside Examplify so students can verify device readiness. Always test your exact macOS version and Examplify build on that mock download before a graded assessment.
