NoLock macOS Setup and Restoration
The current macOS build requires system-level preparation. Read the complete setup guide before changing settings and keep the restoration steps available.
Prepare
Confirm macOS 14 or later, back up important work, and follow the current setup guide from start to finish. Restart when instructed.
Verify
Launch NoLock, sign in, and test the intended proctor or application before the exam window. Confirm the plan and app are listed in the compatibility directory.
Restore
After you no longer need the configuration, follow the documented recovery steps to restore normal macOS security settings and restart.
Frequently asked questions
Can I skip the restart?
No. System security changes and restoration do not fully apply until the required restart completes.
